Spurs manager Antonio Conte is confident Son Heung-min will be able to recover in time for the World Cup in Qatar.
The South Korean star suffered a fracture in the left eye socket in the team’s win over Marseille in the UEFA Champions League, initially worried he would recover in time for the World Cup to begin shortly next month ufabet.
Most recently following the defeat to Liverpool, Conte said of the striker: “With Sonny, I texted him after undergoing surgery.”
“He missed us tonight. I’m sure he can come back soon and play in the World Cup. He’s not in the hospital now. He’s back at home.”
South Korea are in Group H alongside Portugal, Ghana and Uruguay, with the team playing their opening game against Uruguay on November 24.
The former Bayern Leverkusen forward has been an integral member of the South Korean national team ever since making his international debut in 2010.
Since then, Son has amassed 104 caps for his country and has scored 35 goals including seven in the nation’s qualifying campaign for the 2022 World Cup.
The Tigers of Asia are currently ranked 28th in the FIFA rankings and will begin their World Cup campaign when they face two-time winners of the competition Uruguay on the 24th of November.
