Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez believes Ronald Araujo can qualify for the World Cup with Uruguay despite his recovery from injury.

However, Xabi believes Araujo could be include in the Qatar World Cup squad in the hopes of being involve if he fully recovers during the tournament.
“We have spoken to Gal Araujo about his ability to travel, we have spoken with Diego Alonso (Coach of Uruguay) and it might be good for him to go with the team hopefully. Get well soon,” Xabi said.
“If it’s a mental matter of being with the team. He should also be summoned.”
Uruguay are in Group H alongside Portugal, Ghana and South Korea, with the team playing their opening game against South Korea on November 24.
Xavi says that Araujo could travel to Qatar with Uruguay in the hope that he could play some part if he recovers fully during the tournament.
It’s thought a final decision will be made on Araujo next week. Barca play their final game before the World Cup on Tuesday at Osasuna in La Liga.
